Adult Workshops

Step away from the pace of everyday life and immerse yourself in the quiet rhythm of traditional craft. Our adult workshops offer a hands-on introduction to papermaking and bookbinding, where discarded paper is reimagined as a beautifully handcrafted book. No experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to slow down and create.

Papermaking

Discover the craft of traditional papermaking using recycled materials. You’ll learn how discarded paper is transformed into pulp, pressed into fresh sheets and carefully dried to create beautifully textured, handmade paper.

This tactile process is both grounding and creative — an opportunity to experiment with colour, fibres and inclusions while gaining an understanding of the materials and techniques behind sustainable paper production. Each participant leaves with their own unique sheets, ready to be bound or used in future projects.

Bookbinding

Bring your handmade paper to life through the art of traditional bookbinding. You’ll be guided step-by-step through classic techniques, learning how books are constructed from spine to cover.

Working with simple hardback or stitched formats, you’ll create a finished book that is entirely your own — crafted with care, precision and attention to detail. The process encourages patience and focus, resulting in a piece that feels both personal and enduring.
