Who we are
Pip Cox, founder of Waste Paper Books, was inspired by a simple belief: that materials we often discard still hold value, and that making something by hand changes the way we see the world around us.
Through traditional papermaking, marbling and bookbinding techniques, Pip transforms unwanted paper into beautifully handcrafted books. In doing so, she reconnects people with the process behind the objects they use every day.
In schools, workshops support sustainability education, creativity and literacy. Children experience the full journey of a book — from pulp to finished story — developing practical skills, patience and pride in their work.
For adults, our workshops offer a slower, more mindful creative experience. Rooted in heritage craft, each session provides the opportunity to learn traditional techniques while creating something lasting and personal.
At the heart of Waste Paper Books is a commitment to thoughtful making, environmental responsibility and the enduring power of stories.
